Here are the essentials
We are Ohio University's 4 Paws for Ability club!
What is 4 Paws?
4 Paws For Ability is a nonprofit organization that breeds and trains service dogs of all varieties. They are based in Xenia, Ohio, a two-hour drive from our campus in Athens, Ohio. Currently, they are placing 120 dogs annually! To reach this goal, 4 Paws reaches out to schools like ours to help them! If you would like more information you can visit 4 Paws For Ability's official website, https://www.4pawsforability.org/
How do we help?
The Ohio University club is partnered with 4 Paws to foster and care for their dogs until they are ready for Advanced Training! This means that they learn all of their basic obedience from us! Things like "sit" or "down" and the basic socialization that all service dogs need. They come to class with us, football games, hockey, and our weekly meeting!
